Hey everyone,
Time for our weekly check-in. Last week was a real rollercoaster ➡️ on the markets, and a perfect example of why having a clear, long-term strategy is so important.
The week started on a high note, with a wave of optimism fueled by the massive news of the OpenAI partnership with $AMD. This sent a positive shockwave through the semiconductor sector and gave the portfolio a strong start. But then came Friday. The headlines about potential new trade tariffs hit the market hard, triggering a sharp sell-off that erased the week's gains for most major indices.
In this up-and-down environment, I’m very pleased with how the portfolio held up. We finished the week in the green with a +0.19% return. It might not sound like much, but it's a significant achievement in a week where the $NSDQ100 fell -2.04% and the $SPX500 dropped -2.22%. Even the most copied investor on eToro ended the week with a loss of -1.07%.
Looking at the month so far, the story is similar. The portfolio is up +1.03% month-to-date, while both the major indices are in the red. This resilience is a direct result of a disciplined approach and good diversification.
While short-term wins are great, my focus is always on the long game. Over the last 12 months, the portfolio has delivered a +46.95% return. I'm very proud that this performance is right on par with the most copied investor on the platform (+48.92%), which is a fantastic validation of my strategy.
My approach remains the same: my decisions are driven by data and a long-term conviction in the world-class companies I own. And as always, with zero leverage.
