Portfolio Update: Why I Sold Apple ($AAPL) to Buy Marvell ($MRVL) Today, I made a strategic capital reallocation within our portfolio. I have closed our long-held position in Apple ($AAPL) and initiated a new position in Marvell Technology ($MRVL ). This decision reflects my core strategy: to actively manage our portfolio by moving capital from high-quality, but maturing, companies to what I believe are higher-growth opportunities with more attractive risk/reward profiles. The Rationale for Selling Apple: Apple is one of the world's greatest companies, but its recent innovation cycle has slowed, leading to more moderate growth prospects. For our specific high-growth strategy, I believe we can deploy that capital more effectively elsewhere. Why I'm Initiating a Position in Marvell Technology: $MRVL is a key architect of the AI revolution, operating in the "picks and shovels" part of the semiconductor industry. My conviction is built on several points: 1. Strategic Position in AI Infrastructure: Marvell doesn't make the headline-grabbing GPUs. Instead, they design the essential custom silicon (ASICs) and high-speed networking gear that are critical for building and scaling AI data centers. They are a key partner to the world's largest cloud providers. 2. Diversification of our AI Thesis: While we already have strong exposure to AI compute via our core holdings in $NVDA and $AMD adding $MRVL diversifies this thesis. They are complementary, not competitive. Nvidia and AMD provide the raw horsepower (GPUs), while Marvell provides the custom 'nervous system' (networking, custom chips) for the data centers they live in. 3. Strong Analyst Conviction: This strategic view is validated by key Wall Street analysts. Following Marvell's recent "Custom AI" event, Vivek Arya of Bank of America reiterated his 'Buy' rating and raised his price target, while analysts at Deutsche Bank highlighted Marvell as "one of the very few companies capable of addressing the rapidly growing custom data center silicon market." I have strong conviction that as data centers become the factories of the 21st century, Marvell's essential role will lead to significant long-term growth. I am pleased to add this high-quality company to our portfolio. #PortfolioUpdate #InvestingStrategy
