The Pause Button. ⏸️
Transparency matters most when the numbers are flat.
We closed last week at -0.08%. Basically unchanged. After a strong rally, the portfolio took a breather.
While the weekly move was minor, the broader December trend shows a clear decoupling. The Nasdaq has drifted higher this month, yet my portfolio is down -2.95% MTD. This disconnect comes down to simple math. The index is currently being lifted by Consumer Tech giants (Apple, Tesla) that I simply don't own.
My capital is concentrated in the AI Supply Chain. When infrastructure plays like Broadcom ($AVGO) and ASML correct—as they did sharply this week—we naturally lag the broader market. I am fine with that trade-off. I am not chasing the consumer; I am betting on the compute.
Zooming out, the strategy is working exactly as intended. Despite the December cooldown, we sit at +29.68% YTD, maintaining a significant lead over both the Nasdaq (+20.64%) and the S&P 500 (+16.22%).
The thesis is intact. No panic selling. No forced trades. Just patience.
