𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹 ($𝗠𝗥𝗩𝗟) Hey everyone, Quick update on a trade I made today. I’ve decided to close our position in $MRVL (Marvell Technology) and lock in a solid +15.69% profit. This was a position that made up about 8.9% of our portfolio. The initial plan was to hold $MRVL for the long haul; however a core part of my strategy is that when the facts change, I'm not afraid to change my mind. My reason for buying Marvell was simple: they are a key player in building the "plumbing" for AI data centers. That part is still true. But lately, I’ve been seeing a few red flags that I just can't ignore. Here's what's been on my mind: 𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗽: The big guys are making big moves. Giants like $NVDA and $AVGO are pushing aggressively into Marvell's core markets. To me, it looks like the strong competitive edge Marvell once had is starting to shrink, and that makes me nervous for the long term. 𝟮. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀: We're seeing more and more reports that major companies are tightening their belts and slowing down spending on big cloud projects. This is a headwind for the whole sector, but it especially hurts a company like Marvell that depends on these massive data center build-outs. 𝟯. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁: Given these new risks, holding Marvell didn't feel like the smartest bet anymore. My number one job is to protect our capital. So, taking a nearly +16% profit off the table and waiting for a clearer opportunity felt like the right, disciplined move to make. This is what active management looks like. We're not just buying and hoping; we're constantly watching the field and making the tough calls when we need to. The cash from this sale is now sitting on the sidelines, ready for our next big move. Thanks for your trust.
